<군 복무 학점인정제란
군 복무 학점인정제는 국방부가 추진하고 대학 재학생에게 군 복무 경험을 고등교육법의 영향을 받는 대학교(산업대학 및 교육대학을 포함) 및 전문대학의 학점으로 인정하는 제도이다.
이 제도의 법적 근거는 고등교육법과 학점인정 등에 관한 법률이다. 고등교육법 제23조 제1항은 “학교는 학생이 다음 각 호의 어느 하나에 해당하는 경우(해당 학교에 입학하기 전의 경우를 포함한다)에 대통령령으로 정하는 범위에서 학칙으로 정하는 바에 따라 이를 해당 학교에서 학점을 취득한 것으로 인정할 수 있다. 5. 학점인정 등에 관한 법률 제7조 제1항 또는 제2항에 따라 교육부장관으로부터 학점을 인정받은 경우”라고 규정되어 있다.
