현 노동조합은 이 일을 직원사회 전체의 문제보다는 개인적 차원으로 보는 것 같았다. 학교측은 유족에게 잘 대응해서 불을 끄고 싶어하는 듯 보였다. 책임지는 이는 아무도 없고, 총장의 흔한 유감표명 조차 없었다.이에 대한 내 문제제기에 대해 노동조합은 피곤해 하는 눈치가 역력했다. 교직원 선배는 개인적으로 전화를 하면서 나를 압박했다. 다른 직원들도 공감은 하지만 무슨 소용이 있겠느냐고 했다. 아마 일제시대 때 희망이 안보이던 상황에서 자포자기한 식민지 백성들처럼.
